-If you are considering becoming an orthodontist but are not quite sure if this is the right dental specialty for you we have just the program for you. Our three months Preceptorship program will give you a good idea of this specialty so you can decide if this the career you want. You will be able to attend all classes during the week and observe in the clinic during clinic sessions. Seminars and lab sessions are also be open to you, and if you are interested in research we will help put together and guide you through a limited research project that you can complete within the three months you are with us.
-The International Fellowship program in Orthodontics is designed for recent graduates from accredited orthodontic programs worldwide and is of one years duration. Young orthodontics that are considering a full or part-time faculty position in the future can improve their qualifications by attending this program that will make their credentials better for a future academic career. The fellowship program allows the candidate access to all post graduate classes in orthodontics as well as our weekly surgery conference and craniotomy-facial seminar. We will put your individual program together to suit your specific needs and interests. In addition to the didactic program you will also be observing the patient care in our modern orthodontic clinic throughout the week. As part of the requirements for a certificate of completion you will be doing a research project on a topic of your choosing where we have expertise. Time will be set aside for research on weekly basis and you will have access to statistical help as needed.
-We have been very successful with this program in the past and most of the studies have been published in peer reviewed journals. In several cases our “Fellows” have gone on to become full time faculty or Chair persons in other orthodontic programs around the world.
